It all began with a passion for sign language and a drive to see the Hearing world and the Deaf world become better integrated. 

As someone who has lived experience of having a hearing loss, and working with the Deaf community for many years, I have seen the barriers people face on a daily basis. From going to the local corner shop to trying to buy furniture in a large chain store, I realised the Hearing world is inherently underequipped to help through a lack of understanding and awareness.

That is where I decided I wanted to be part of the change. I am passionate about Deaf culture and sign language. I can see where improvements in accessibility can be made, and I want to help build a more inclusive community.
